It's always hard to get a good picture of Austin. I tried and tried until I caught this one spur of the moment several minutes after failing miserably to get him to dress the part of a fireman. Of course, it's the story of his life; Austin won't do a thing unless he wants to (typical 2 year old I guess) and he has to be the one to come up with the idea.

The kids have been begging me to set up the pool since I purchased it (all of 2 days ago). I think I've heard "Can I swim in the alligator pool now?" about 264 times. Evan played for quite some time. Austin...well, we made it as far as the swimsuit - maybe he'll have more guts next time.
We asked Austin how old he was and he couldn't quite get the fingering down for the number 2 but he'll get there. He was so excited to blow out the candles, that we had to light them twice. We still didn't make it through the song though before the candles were blown out. Then, we had a little mishap with the number 2 falling over. I guess he wanted to make sure that his wish was going to come true.
