Am I allowed to cry about my calling? Okay, so it's not exactly the mature thing to do but I'm not sure about my own sanity right now.
Nursery Leader isn't the most coveted calling...I knew I would eventually pay my dues just NOT NOW!! Please, I can't handle any more time with my OWN kids (even though I love you all to death) I may not be in the right frame of mind to deal with other people's kids. Can I just go back to the Reunion ward and be on the Enrichment committee (that really was too good of a calling to last long).
(sorry if you're reading this and one of your kids is going to be in my nursery class!)
I guess all those months (13 to be exact) of trying to get Austin to go to nursery by himself was in vain. Okay, maybe not totally in vain...he's been going to nursery by himself for 3 weeks now...a feat that he'll probably never remember.

Stacy, I'm so sorry - I totally sympathize! Why is it that they always put the new people in the nursery so that they can't get to know anyone? I wish that you were still on the Enrichment committee with me, too! Good luck...
I am so sorry to hear about your calling. But Happy to.... if that makes since. When I first moved here they did the same thing to me. James was only 8 months old and I didn't know anyone. Just remember that once you put in your time you won't get called again for a while. Unless you move... so don't do that!!!
I miss you in Reunion ward too. Maybe when they switch everything again things will go back to normal.
Ahh! I'm so sorry. That is my worst fear. Good luck! You'll do a great job!
You're good to accept the call. I'm surprised how many people won't. I think they should put more men in there - they want to be playing and having snacks anyway during church. Good luck, and you never know, this might be your favorite calling, or maybe not.
Welcome to the club! I know that most Sundays I dread having to go to nursery, but it is way better that Ward Activities Leader though.
I'm in the junior nursery and was looking forward to Megan moving up to the senior nursery in January. Then on Saturday night I get a call from the presidency telling me that I will be moving up with kids to senior nursery.
I cried too! Good luck with your new calling:). I feel for you. Really I do!
Hang in there, I know you will do great!

Stacey, I am completely offended...good thing Allie is now a Sunbeam or maybe I really would be!!! Just teasing you!!! I am not even going to say anything...I will jinx myself and it will be me next!!! :)
Oh I so relate! I had a cry-fest and got out of nursery! i love my new Payson ward, they put the day to day moms in classes and the g-mas (which is 75% of the ward in nursery!) somehow they got the message! we love kids, but church is time away for us! Good luck! PS when I had my breakdown, we were in Pleasant Grove with 4 nurserys I was alone with 16 kids, 2 autistic, a 6 mo old in arms, grabbed a stranger from the hall to watch the class so I could retrieve some toys, past the bishopric office with Conner and Evan in tow, kicking the box down the hall, because I had no arms available & no one helped me! I SNAPPED!
I'm so sorry!!! That's awful, wait, am I supposed to make you feel better??? Good luck, I'm sure you'll be great. And maybe you can help the other crying kids after their moms' leave. :)
When I was called as Primary President my Mom said she didn't think any young mother should be serving in Primary. I have to agree, but believe me you are taking a huge load off the President's plate.
Congratulations! ;) ;) ;) You'll be a great nusery leader, just enjoy the enrichment nights, and have a few extra girls' nights out where the kids stay home, and enjoy the fact that you get to have snacks during every Sunday School class if you so choose!
