Soon to be Birthday Boy!!

Evan Bryan Eaton
Born:  January 28, 2004

I can't believe my little boy is going to be 5.

Having Evan in our lives has been nothing less than wonderful!!  He is so sweet and loving.  He is the perfect big brother to Austin and Lindsay.  He is a wonderful example to us all.

Happy Birthday Evan - WE LOVE YOU!!

Kings and Queen

For FHE we used one of the idea's out of the January "Friend."  The kids colored their crowns and we decided that they were kings and queen since we didn't want Austin to keep saying he was a princess (he would say prince and then eventually say princess again).

I woke up the next morning to find Evan and Austin playing with their crowns on.   Austin has taken a nap everyday since with his crown on and they play with them all day long.  Who knew that a little crown would bring so much joy.

Evan the puzzle King.

Why are you taking a picture of me?  I'm just playing.

Evan put Lindsay's crown on too!

Proud to be a Big Brother - January 12, 2009

Evan and Lindsay relaxing together.

I couldn't have asked for a better big brother to Lindsay!

Imagination!

At least my son has an imagination.  He took the base of a floating volcano and decided to make a scuba mask out of it.

Wrapping up December

Nathan brought home this big box from work and made it into a backdrop for a puppet show at his mother's house on Christmas Eve.  Santa was asking Rudolph if people were on the naughty or nice list.  If they were on the naughty list, they had to get up and perform the task asked of them.  Some had to sing songs like Alvin and the chipmunks, others had to do a reindeer dance, act out a scene from the Grinch Stole Christmas or start a mambo line.  If they did a good job they got a candy cane...if bad, they got a lump of coal.

The star performers and their puppets.  Evan did a GREAT job!!  He even helped make his sock puppet.

Evan was excited to start the gingerbread tree project at Grandma Lyn's.

Austin helping to decorate.  He mostly just sat there and ate the candy.

The final product.  I hope it doesn't fall over.  Notice the presents actually made it ON the tree instead of under it.

Christmas eve was great as was Christmas day.  We went to my parents house and the boys love their air hockey table and light sabers.  Austin no longer has to use his turkey baster to fight Darth Vader.

All of us in our Sunday best.
Of course it was after church so the boys weren't all spruced up.

Just the boys.  Aren't they handsome!

I had to throw in a few pictures of Lindsay in her Christmas dress.

We're excited for a new year and hope that 2009 proves to be a good one for all our family and friends!

Nursery...need I say more?

Am I allowed to cry about my calling?  Okay, so it's not exactly the mature thing to do but I'm not sure about my own sanity right now.

Nursery Leader isn't the most coveted calling...I knew I would eventually pay my dues just NOT NOW!!  Please, I can't handle any more time with my OWN kids (even though I love you all to death) I may not be in the right frame of mind to deal with other people's kids.  Can I just go back to the Reunion ward and be on the Enrichment committee (that really was too good of a calling to last long).

(sorry if you're reading this and one of your kids is going to be in my nursery class!)

I guess all those months (13 to be exact) of trying to get Austin to go to nursery by himself was in vain.  Okay, maybe not totally in vain...he's been going to nursery by himself for 3 weeks now...a feat that he'll probably never remember.
